 GUIDED TOUR ‘LA ARXIDUNA DORMIDA. ECOS DEL PASADO’

La ruta que discurre por la Villa alta, donde se ubica el Santuario de la Virgen de Gracia, antigua mezquita del siglo IX, la única conservada en la provincia de Málaga, y por el recinto amurallado que rodea la fortaleza.

 This guided tour takes place in the “Villa Alta” and the enclosure that surrounds it. It is in this place (Villa Alta), at the top of the mountain of Gracia, where the hermitage Virgen de Gracia is located, an ancient mosque dating back to the 9th century, being the only one that remains in the whole province of Málaga.

La ruta turística incluye:

· Visita guiada con intervención de actores que interpretan textos históricos originales de varios personajes basados en, Tagzona, Hamet, Abderramán I, el historiador archidonés Miguel Lafuente Alcántara, el cronista andalucí Ibn Al-Quitiyya, al Basti (último poeta de Al Ándalus), el poeta antequerano Pedro espinosa o Washington Irving.

· Visita al Santuario de la Virgen de Gracia.

· Traslado en taxi y seguro de Responsabilidad Civil.

· Reparto de aleluyas con la Leyenda de los Enamorados.

 This guided tour includes:

- Dramatized guided tour in which some actors adopt some historical characters such as Tagzona, Hamet Abderramán I, the historian of Archidona Miguel Lafuente Alcántara, the Andalusian chronicler Ibn Al-Quitiyya, Al Basti –last poet of Al-Andalus-, the poet of the city of Antequera Pedro Espinosa, and Washington Irving.

- Visit to the Hermitage of Virgen de Gracia

- Trasfer by taxi and civil liability insurance

- Distribution of an illustrated brochure that tells the legend of the Lover’s Rock

Ruta turística en las tardes de verano.

Ven y Descubre Archidona

·        Duración de la ruta desde entre dos horas y media y tres horas, explicando con detalle la historia del periodo andalusí y cristiano que se desarrolla en la Villa Alta.

·        Precio 8€ y niños gratis hasta los 13 años. El día de la inauguración, el sábado 11 es gratuita.

·        Como medidas preventivas contra el COVID-19, los grupos serán reducidos a un máximo de 15 pax, obligatorio el uso de mascarilla y mantener la distancia de seguridad.

·        Para la inscripción que se realiza en la Oficina de Turismo, es imprescindible el nombre completo. La hora de comienzo es alrededor de las 20:30h, una vez se encuentre todo el grupo en la Villa Alta.

Come and Discover Archidona

- The tour takes between two and a half hours and three hours. The tour explains in detail the history of the Al-Andalus and Christian period developed in the Villa Alta.

- Price: 8 euros. Children up to thirteen years old enter for free. The tour is free the opening day.

- As a preventive measure against COVID-19, groups are limited to 15 people. Moreover, it is compulsory to use a mask and to keep the interpersonal safe distance with people that are not part of the same family group.

- The inscription will be done at the Tourist Information Office. For that it is necessary to provide the full name of the participants. The starting hour is around 20:30, once the whole group is in Villa Alta.
