En la Oficina de Turismo te informamos sobre las diferentes visitas guiadas que se pueden realizar adaptadas a todos los públicos: “Archidona Monumental”, ruta turística infantiana “Tras los pasos de Blas Infante “ o “La Arxiduna Dormida. Ecos del Pasado “.

In the Tourist Information Office we can inform you about the different guided tours which can be adapted to everyone: “Archidona a tu Alcance”, the tourist route around the figure of Blas Infante “Tras los pasos de Blas Infante”, or even “Arxiduna Dormida. Ecos del Pasado.”

Si vienes en grupo, puedes concertar una visita privada, pero si vienes de forma particular, te ofrecemos la visita guiada por el casco histórico de la ciudad todos los sábados, mañana o tarde (actualmente no más de 25 personas).

If you are coming in group, you can also arrange a private tour. However, if you are coming on your own, you will also be able to join the guided tour around the historic centre of the town offered every Saturday morning (no more than 10 people are allowed in any case).

Existen dos modalidades para conocer el Casco Histórico de Archidona, a las que si lo deseas puedes añadir por la tarde ya de forma particular, la visita al Santuario de la Virgen de Gracia, antigua mezquita andalusí del siglo IX, que tiene el privilegio de ser la única conservada y puesta en valor en la provincia de Málaga. El acceso sólo se permite a pie o en coche, ya que no es posible la subida en autobús ni auto-caravana.

In the evening you can visit the Hermitage of Virgen de Gracia, an ancient Arab mosque from the 9th century, which is privileged because it is the only one that is still conserved and appreciated as such in the province of Malaga. You can access it only on foot or by car, since it is not accessible by bus or camper van. Moreover, there are two ways to get to know the historic centre of Archidona.

1. La Modalidad Completa incluye/The complete modality, which includes:

• Recepción e introducción histórica de Archidona en el Paseo de la Victoria, lugar donde se encuentra la estatua de Blas Infante padre de la Patria Andaluza;

• Recorrido por el casco Histórico de Archidona y por sus calles principales de casas blasonadas;

• Visita al Museo municipal ubicado en el Edificio del antiguo Pósito o Cilla;

• Plaza Ochavada, Primera Maravilla de la provincia de Málaga e icono emblemático del Barroco Andaluz, donde se ubica la Oficina de Turismo;

• Exterior del antiguo Colegio de Padres Escolapios (S. SVII/XX);

• La visita a los templos de la localidad: la Iglesia de la Victoria (S. XVI/XVIII), Iglesia del Convento de Monjas Mínimas (S. XVI/XVIII), Iglesia de Jesús Nazareno (S. XVII/XVIII) y la Iglesia de Santa Ana (S. XVI/XIX).

• A reception and historical introduction to Archidona in Paseo de la Victoria, place where the statue of Blas Infante –the father of the Andalusian region- is situated;

• A guided tour around the historic centre of Archidona and its main streets and emblazoned houses;

• The visit to the local museum located in the building of La Cilla or old Pósito;

• The visit to Ochavada Square -declared as Primera Maravilla (first wonder) in the province of Málaga and symbol of the Andalusian baroque style-, where you can also find the Tourist Information Office;

• The external part of what was before Colegio de Padres Escolapios –school created by the religious order of the Piarist clerics (dating from the 17th/20th centuries);

• The visit to some churches: Iglesia de la Victoria (dating from the 16th/18th centuries), Iglesia del Convento de Monjas Mínimas (16th and 18th centuries), Iglesia de Jesús Nazareno (dating back from the 17th and 18th centuries), and Iglesia de Santa Ana (dating from 16th and 19th centuries).

Precio de entrada a los cuatro monumentos religiosos: 2€/persona. La entrada a los demás monumentos del recorrido es gratuita. La duración es de unas tres horas aproximadamente. 

The entry ticket to the four religious buildings is 2 euros per person. The entrance to the rest of the buildings of the tour is free. The guided tour takes approximately three hours.

2. La Modalidad Reducida realiza el mismo recorrido que la modalidad completa, pero solo se visita una de las cuatro Iglesias: la Iglesia de Jesús y María, perteneciente al Convento de la Orden de Monjas Mínimas de San Francisco de Paula. Entrada gratuita. La duración del recorrido es de una hora y media aproximadamente.

2. The reduced modality consists of the same tour described for the complete modality, but only one of the four religious buildings is visited: Iglesia de Jesús y María, which belongs to Convento de la Orden de Monjas Mínimas de San Francisco de Paula (convent where some Minim nuns, who belong to the religious order founded by Saint Francis of Paola, live and bake traditional desserts). Free entrance. The tour takes one hour and 30 minutes approximately.

La oferta de modalidad para cada sábado, ira en función de la que sea más solicitada por el público a lo largo de la semana.

Every Saturday one of these modalities will be offered, according to what is requested by the majority of the clients during the week.

Para realizar la modalidad completa es imprescindible la inscripción con un mínimo de antelación de 24h (debido a la disponibilidad de los edificios religiosos).

In order to make the complete modality tour it is essential to have booked at least 24 hours in advance (due to the availability of the religious buildings).

El número máximo de participantes está restringido a 25 personas, y el número mínimo es de 4 adultos.

The group size in any of the routes is restricted to 10 people, as a preventive measure against COVID-19, being the minimum number of participants of four, or the same equivalent paid in euros. In case of not having the minimum number or participants required, the tour will be suspended.

Durante todo el recorrido es obligatorio el uso de mascarilla y respetar la distancia de seguridad entre los participantes que no pertenezcan al mismo entorno familiar.

During the tour it is compulsory to use a mask and to keep the interpersonal safe distance with people who are not part of the same family group.

Punto de partida: En el Paseo de la Victoria a las 10h para la modalidad completa y a las 11:30h para la modalidad reducida.

La confirmación de la participación en cualquiera de las dos modalidades se realizará con el pago de la misma.

Starting point: at 10 am in Paseo de la Victoria. The booking of the tour can be done ten minutes before the tour starts only if the group is not complete. In that case you can pay the guide ten minutes before the tour starts in the starting point itself.

Modalidad Completa: 7€/persona.

Modalidad Reducida: 5€/persona.

Rates:

Adults: 12€ for the complete modality / 10€ for the reduced modality

Children: 5€ for children aged 7-12; younger children would not pay; 13-year-old children or older will pay as adults.

The confirmation to participate in any of the modalities offered will be done on payment, which will be done directly to the guide through a bank transfer or bizum.

La Oficina de Turismo es un mero colaborador en la comercialización de las visitas guiadas siendo los guías, responsables finales de las mismas.

The Tourist Information Centre only collaborates with the commercialisation of the guided tours, being the guides the professionals in charge of them.
